Oh dear what a tart, still it would be funny if Derby sign Croft, Barker, Jones, Hughes. Anderson goes to Swansea, Gunter and Blackstock reject the moves.

When you look at there squad without those loan signings they are a piss poor team.

I think for around £2m he would be a bargain. Before his big injury clubs like Tottenham were lining up £6m bids, as someone said he was a big part of the Derby promotion side and can be played right wing, behind the strikers or natural central midfield. Players can lose a bit with injury but his performance against Man Utd showed he still has the quality. Perhaps he hasn't been turning in the performances at Derby as he isn't happy there? For £2m even if it didn't work out we'd sell on for £1.5m still.

Plus we're due a cut of the transfer fee (rumoured to be somewhere between 25 & 50%)

how do they work that one out? barnes was our player so why would they get a cut of the transfer ??

I had to laugh at this one,

"The club was asked if Vital Forest should hold back on naming these targets, in case it compromised any of the deals."

What do they think is going to happen? Vital Forest publish a rumour that they are going to sign Surman and Blackstock which sparks a bidding war between clubs that have read the article?. Looking at there forums they seem to think its a done deal as some twerp running a fanzine says so, have they heard about Newcastles reported interest in Surman as well? Typical Forest fans with their heads in the clouds.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Vital Forest can confirm that a deal to bring QPR's Dexter Blackstock to the City Ground is done and he is now finally a Forest player, after agreeing personal terms with the Reds'.

The signing of Blackstock, along with those of McGoldrick and Adebola will just about complete the NFFC strike force for next season...and that's a pretty impressive strike force for any team in the Championship.

It looks like Matthew Mills at Donny is also on his way, with former Forest target Rob Jones at Hibs out of the reckoning. That could be down to his agent, who has been touting him around to the highest bidder and anyone that will listen.

The deal of the summer for Forest fans could be that of Southampton midfielder Andrew Surman. The 22 year old is certain to leave St. Mary's and we believe that's he's as good as a Forest player already. From what we know here, Forest are at present struggling with getting a keeper in. Fans favourite Lee Camp, is not necessarilly the first choice of the club.

The club was asked if Vital Forest should hold back on naming these targets, in case it compromised any of the deals. NFFC Chief Executive Mark Arthur said, 'You are, of course, at perfect liberty to publish whatever you believe to be fact. We will only announce signings once they are legally binding. Some you will get right; some you will not! Have a fun summer.' In light of there being no announcements on the OS and Mr. Arthur's response, I've decided to go ahead.

Vital Forest trusts it's sources and believes that all three of these targets will be announced as Forest players in due course, along with those of McGoldrick, McKenna and Adebola. It's shaping up to be a fun summer already Mr. Arthur!

Nope, I read the articles every so often if they come up in News Now and the forum is dead on there, just the editor by himself with the odd Forest and Leeds fan post every month.

Oooooww lets hope we put a bid in for Surman then - make them even more angry - i would love it if we did, look sometimes on Vital - but like David only when it pops up on news now - i always go there first to check the news.

Alot of fans are too gullible with these sites, maybe its the boredom of the summer. The sites are run by a normal tom, dick or harry and they will snoop around the forums looking for little tit bits of rumours and turn them into articles.

It's the same with the mad sites, all there news comes a week after you first heard about it.

Maybe they get a kick out of feeling important by claiming to have a source within the club, and in some way they feel like they are special. There are alot of people out there with inside sources and you soon realise who they are and who the BS'ters are.
