Frankie Boyle quits Mock the Week

COMIC Frankie Boyle has pulled out of Mock The Week for good, just 10 days after suffering a heart murmur.

TV Biz told how the Scottish star was forced to drop out of last week's show after his heart scare.

But now he has decided to quit to concentrate on other projects.

Pals say Frankie, 37, has other shows lined up, but he is "very stressed".

One said: "The heart scare really shook him up. He's been working hard and it's taken its toll."

The BBC has yet to confirm whether it will replace Boyle or opt for a rota of guest panellists.

But fans can take some comfort that two more series have been ordered.

They need someone top quality to replace him. They need to offer a big salary if they need to. I mean someone on the par of David Mitchell or Michael Macintyre. The show can't continue with Hugh Dennis' lack of humour, Andy Parson's unoriginality and Russell Howard's annoying jokes.

I don't think they can replace him, he's the only one that seriously made me laugh on the show, yeah the others made me chuckle but none have made me spit my drink across the room like Frankie did.

Probably be the end of me watching it now, look forward to seeing what these new projects are.
