hope60
With no goal line technology in Championship, one wonders wether Ryan Shotton's goal would have been given in the scramble that happened after Keogh@s header hit the bar. It was after Besty buried it that Sky decided that Shotton had scored. But did anyone notice if the linesman had flagged for the ball crossing the line in the first instance. I'll wager that if Besty had missed his follow up the goal wouldn't have been given. So in that scenario, it has to be Leon Best's goal, surely? Gaspode
the goal is awarded to the person that scored it - not to the person who might have scored it if a certain scenario had occurred
RaphaRam
If past Derby-Forest games are to go by... no, not at all.
Guest
Is a hard one. Ref only blew for goal after Best scored. If Best had not scored, Ref would have had to consult linesman/look to Linesman for award of a goal ....which assuming he did not flag for ball being over line in real time ...he likely would not have given as needing t obe 100% certain If I had bet on Best to score, I would be miffed not to receive a pay out
trekkie_ram
I've just watched match of the day, and wondered exactly the same for west hams second. Big call for the linesman without technology, my first instinct was save.
