gawa_ram
Strange that it's still Umbro - when I worked for Nike there was an announcement that we'd bought them over. Fast-forward a year and all Umbro shirts in sports shops over here (unsure about the mainland) Everton, Rangers, Northern Ireland, England etc - were half price so I thought those deals were running out then Nike were taking them over or was up to the clubs/FA's to find new kit manufacturers. Day
New England Shirt - Not genuine Nike's big plan to keep the look of the new England home shirt - supplied by their subsidiary company Umbro - under wraps until revealed when the players take off their tracksuits before the Wembley game against Slovakia on March 28 may have come unstuck. Alleged pictures of the £50 shirts [url=http://www.footballshirtculture.com/09/10-kits/new-england-2009-11-home-umbro-shirt-kit-leaked.html]have been leaked to a website specialising in football kit culture, but Umbro claim they are not genuine. [url=http://www.footballshirtculture.com/09/10-kits/leaked-new-england-shirt-not-genuine-says-umbro.html]http://www.footballshirtculture.com/09/10-...says-umbro.html Phew!!! Day
New England Shirt Videos Preview videos on the new England shirt, you can see glimpses of the new shirt but not the shirt in full. [url=http://www.umbro.com/#?country=EN&page=process]http://www.umbro.com/#?country=EN&page=process It looks a very retro shirt, with the White collar and new crest not sure if I'l like this one to be honest. Perky1106
England always have terrible kits so I'm not expecting this to be any better. We need to switch to Adidas or Nike fast. I find it annoying that theirs a minor media storm about the price of football kits and that every time a new England kit comes out, when many teams like Derby release three kits every year. Day
Don't quote me on this but Nike I think I heard own Umbro now or some part of Umbro, remember a few years back Nike were apparently taking over the England shirt contract, from what I can gather is that Nike are behind the latest England designs. Thats not the kit you've posted, watch the video and JT is wearing it, the shirt as a new retro crest and White collar.
Day
Both Nike and Umbro Wiki's state that Umbro is a brand owned by Nike. [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nike,_Inc]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nike,_Inc. [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbro]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbro So even tho it has the Umbro logo, Nike will have a major part in England shirts now.
