New contracts

Interesting in the recent SM interview he spoke of us having sorted 'most' of the contract extensions out but said that there were still a couple that they hadn't been able to tie down. I expect one might be Martin - maybe he's holding out hoping that someone will snap him up.....

To be honest, a couple might want to hang on until the window ends.

 

If I was Martin I would reckon that I am unlikely to have a better season than last, that my 'worth' is as high as it's likely to get and therefore now would be the best time to negotiate a new deal/extension. Maybe he wants too much.

 

I am summing he's one of eth 'unsorted' ones - maybe he's not.

 

What other players could SM have been speaking about ?

I'd have thought he was speaking about Keogh. Contract runs out at the end of this season and there's been a lot of rumours of Burnley being after him. I assume he's been offered a new deal and he just hasn't agreed to sign it yet

Ah, yes, thats true. Maybe supposed Burnley attention has gone to his head a bit. Not sure tha interest was ever confirmed to be honest.

Shame if its your captain who won't commit......when most everyone else has...

Why have you assumed the worst about both players? Holding out for a move, etc.
