Vokes was 18/19 4/5 years ago, he hasn't had first team action until this season, god knows how you can judge a striker when he doesn't play. Strikers are judged on goals, Vokes has a far better goal to game ratio (and that's even on the false bent stats above) he's better in the Air, Martin is an average player (Norwich were that desperate to get rid they loaned him to Luton and Swindon) Btw he scored a massive 11 goals for Luton in league 2, 4 years ago. 16 months ago the guy was left out of Norwichs 25 man squad, loaned out to mighty Swindon and he scored a massive 1 goal in 11 games.. And you said over th past 4/5 years he's been good? Hahaha he's had game time everywhere he has been and proved to be not very good at least when Vokes was given game time it was on loan at a Championship club and did quite well, not struggling in league 2 ha God this has gone far enough haha you can make up excuses for Vokes til the cows come home yet you don't know enough about Martin's career to know that at swindon they played him out wide when hes clearly never been anything but a centre forward... Martin couldn't get into Norwich's squad....fair enough. Vokes couldn't get into Wolve's squad...but you want us to ignore that period? sheeeeeeeeeeshhhhhh if you were clutching at any more straws you'd be wa'nking off a scarecrow! Our fans post a solid argument as to why Martin is better - rather than try to justify why in your opinion Vokes is better you disregard Martin because he couldn't get into Norwich side in the prem but you cannot handle the fact that Vokes couldn't get into a just as poor Wolves side so you say he wasn't given the chance rather than admit he wasn't good enough BACK THEN to get into the team Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
