Middlesbrough and Reading are also believed to be keeping tabs on the talented 25-year-old but he could end up staying at the Valley if the proposed takeover goes through. Charlton are still holding talks and if a deal is completed then that will allow the club to turn down any approaches for the in demand midfielder as they will have the finances in place. However the failure to do a deal would mean the Addicks would have to sell if a club came in and matched the £1.5million valuation.
