Mostyn6 Posted January 29, 2014 Share Posted January 29, 2014 I love how attacking McClaren is i think its paid off pretty much every time we play it. We have so many players who are quality going forward. I was one who was annoyed at Cloughs sacking but im so glad we got McClaren in because his tactics have gained us so many points. as someone largely unhappy with the lack of attacking intent/tactics employed by NC, I was satisfied with the decision, whilst feeling guilty and also disappointed by the timing. It should've been a lot earlier, or a lot later. In hindsight, the right decision was made. People laughed at my criticism of tactics at the time, and the repetitive quoting of Brian Clough's "tactics don't win football matches" rammed in my face often.
