You make out Clough had to sell key players...

He didn't.. He sold off rubbish players and used the money to reinvest in better players. Whereas teams like Barnsley had to sell off players like Butterfield and Shackell who were top NPC players and then they weren't given any money to replace them. Millwall with Morrison etc.

Clough had an easy ride.. Only his fanclub try to make up excuses for his short comings think otherwise..

Shackell was a key player and Clough had to sell him to finance Keogh.

The fact of the matter is that Clough had to reduce his wage bill dramatically. Millwall haven't. Barnsley haven't.

Clough did not have an easy ride by no stretch. You are simply saying he did because you never took to him.

He will be remembered very fondly in his time with the club as most fans appreciate the job he did. Only deluded rather shortsighted fans like yourself are unable to appreciate the job he did.

How very sad it is Bris that you really cannot accept the job Clough did. Derby were in such a poor state when he arrived and he has left the club in a very good place.
