Day Posted September 1, 2012 Share Posted September 1, 2012 Derby County wishes to confirm that midfielder Alex Witham has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent. Witham, who is 19, came to agreement with the Rams late on Friday evening become a free agent and cancel his two-year professional contract, which was due to expire at the end of the season, early. With permission of the Club, Witham had been training with a League 1 club in recent weeks and by terminating his contract he is now able to find a new home. The Academy graduate failed to make a first-team appearance for Derby and was a regular for the Reserves in the Central League Central Division last season.
