It was entertaining watching the youngsters playing last night, it’s a pity that the academy games cannot be played prior to the first team games on a Saturday. I am sure it would attract supporters into the ground early and would create a wider interest in those up and coming players, the additional game might also sell a few more pies and pints.

I agree, we compressed Crewe so much they were nearly sitting in the stand behind the goal 😂

It was, but why did it take so long to identify the problem, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is crazy. Can we be sure that we will play to the strengths of the team in the future. If we had Mitrovich in the penalty area the crosses might be effective, unfortunately we don’t have such a player in the squad.

It is frustrating that our game plan appears to be to put in crosses when we do not have a striker(s) who feed off this service. It does make you wonder why we havn't identified that we do not have a striker(s) to benifit from the crosses and adjusted the way we play acordingly, why set up a game plan to serve the teams weakness.
