Boycie
Hmmm. I always search google and type the problem in the search bar. It always pulls up people who have had the same problem. Sometimes you find fixes.

SSD
Plug the controller into your pc via the usb cable. According to my friend windows have some software which checks the status of the controller. If my friend is wrong and nothing happens then connect the controller back to the ps3 via usb cable and hit reset on the controller and then and unplugged the ps3 and turned off the power. Then turn the ps3 it back on and pressed the ps button. Give that a go 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> I hope it helps

trekkie_ram
I don't suppose you've tried it with the USB on a different PS3?
trekkie_ram
My next suggestion would be to try a different USB cable, or leave it connected(/charging) for a while.
