Stimacked
Just to complete a great day for the club overall, the Rams U18's dominated their opening match of the new season at U18 level with a 2-0 away win at Ipswich. 15 year old England U17 international Mason Bennet was involved in one of the goals. Young Pro's Callum Ball lead the attack and Chris Jones also played. new 1st year scholar Josh Lelan headed in the first and another new scholar, Andy Dales grabbed the second. Here is a match report from the Ipswich end. http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?storyid=19024
StaffsRam
Looks like Hendrick and OB will be the couple to breakthrough this season, maybe Ball too at some point. Looking very good for the next batch though isn't it. Mason Bennett is an exciting prospect, and then we have Chris Jones developing nicely as well. Shows that it's not just the first team where the work's going in.
Stimacked
There is some genuine talent coming through again. There are only 4 2nd year scholars this year, so the onus is on the younger bunch coming through to take the chance. Also the likes of Bennet from the U15's age group and Kwame Thomas from the U16's are likely to get plenty of playing time as well. As long as we can hang on to the talented ones and keep them happy, we should see the benefits in the first team in the next few seasons.
Alex W
Nice to see that the work with the youth system that we've put in place is paying off, we could be saving a hell of alot on transfer fees if we bring a few of these more talented lads through.
