I'm going to Brighton or somewhere

This weekend, only Brighton sounds a bit gay.

There's small group of us (mixed doubles) who are having a bit of a road trip. We've plumped for the south coast, but not exactly on the town. It's a couple of nights on the lash, so it has to have good pubs/clubs.

Any suggestions? My mate says Bournemouth is good, but i thought that was for pensioners waiting to die.

Basically, shout names of places at me that have a good night life and slot machines(no, not that kind of slot). Basically Matlock on the South coast with some clubs.

Im at Bournemouth uni, not really sure what it will be like now with no students about but i expect there's quite a few people there on holidays. Loads of clubs, bars and pubs, nice place to look around and a beach.

Wouldnt put you off Brighton, got the most pubs per square feet in the country or something like that. Will be absolutely packed though i expect and may not be easy to find places to stay, good pier and city centre though.

Never really been to Southampton properly, but the walk from the station to the football ground is nice. Portsmouths a **** hole i've been told.

Yeah, cheers lads. Done a bit of research on Bournemouth and it has the most late serving licenses in the country??

Think we might be going.

Camel Bar, looks like a converted Turkish restaurant and stays open till 5am, great place.

Decent strip club as well, £10 to get in, £30 for a dance and about £5 for a pint.

Cheers for the info mate.

Strip club might be a problem, what with the wicked witch of Coventry in tow. Mind you, if you don't ask, you don't get.

Any decent places to stay you can reccommend? Or, more importantly, places to avoid?

Dont really know too much about accomodation, but when my parents came down they stayed at a Travel Lodge which is only 10 minutes walk to town. There's a Premier Inn right near the sea front, next to a casino and cinema but i wouldnt be surprised if both of the above were fully booked this time of year, not always the cheapest as well unless booking a long time in advance.

I'd avoid Boscombe, an area in Bournemouth, a right dump and full of skag heads, cant think of any reason you'd want to go there anyway.
