Day
Motherwell look to have missed out on signing Gary Teale after the Scotland winger found form under new Derby County manager Nigel Clough. A loan deal to Fir Park had been possible and Motherwell manager Mark McGhee told BBC Scotland: "We had hoped we could bring him here. "But he was man of the match against Coventry. There's still going to be discussions between him and Nigel. "But it seems he is back in favour. It looks unlikely that he will come here." Derby announced before defeating Coventry 2-1 on Saturday that they had held off competition from Championship rivals Cardiff City to sign Motherwell striker Chris Porter for about £400,000. But McGhee says he will not see any of the transfer fee to improve his squad. "We will have his wages, so we could yet conclude one or two loan deals," added the manager.[url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/motherwell/7863696.stm]http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ell/7863696.stm How times have changed, last month I would of packed his bags and paid the train fare, now he can be a vital part of the tea if he keeps his current form.
