Obviously the head coach can have a say, but a manager having carte blanche to sign the players he wants to sign is a terrible strategy in the long term, in my opinion. Obviously it's needs must at the minute and it might just work. But in the long term, I really think we need to study what Brentford, Norwich, Barnsley, etc, are doing and apply that to our own recruitment. Farke at Norwich has a big say in recruitment.
