This PS3 8001050F glitch prevents players from enjoying certain games both offline and online.There has been no word yet from Playstation regarding this PS3 Error. What we know that the PS3 Error Code 8001050F is global and causing mass displeasure across the gaming world. PS3 Error Code 8001050F The main PS3 problem comes with the older ‘fat’ Playstation 3’s. If you own a newer model, then you won’t be affected by the Playstation 3 Error Code 8001050F. The PS3 errors prevents games such as Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, and Final Fantasy XIII from being played. With the PS3 Error Code 8001050F you can still download demos, or surf the net – so not all is lost. Affected PS3s aren’t forced offline, in other words. THe only rough idea on how to fix the PS3 Error Code 8001050F glith would be related to the time and date – which seems to be the main root of the problem. We will inform you of the latest PS3 Error Code 8001050F glitch fix once Playstation makes an announcement or the PS3 network down status is removed. this is from there sausageter page- “As you may be aware, some customers have been unable to connect to the PlayStation Network today. This problem affects the models other than the new slim PS3. We believe we have identified that this problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system. Errors include: The date of the PS3 system may be re-set to Jan 1, 2000. When the user tries to sign-in to the PlayStation Network, the following message appears on the screen; “An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network (8001050F)â€Â. When the user tries to launch a game, the following error message appears on the screen and the trophy data may disappear; “Failed to install trophies. Please exit your game.†When the user tries to set the time and date of the system via the Internet, the following message appears on the screen; “The current date and time could not be obtained. (8001050F)†Users are not able to playback certain rental video downloaded from the PlayStation Store before the expiration date. We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data. As mentioned above, Please be advised that the new slim PS3 is not affected with this error. We are doing our best to resolve the issue and do apologise for any inconvenience caused. Day Posted March 1, 2010 Share Posted March 1, 2010 If you get the RROD you will get it fixed and back to you in 10 days, even outside warrenty. Some cases you get a brand new Xbox back. But you have fun with YLOD and your 1 year Sony warrenty.
