WTF was going on with Kerry in the final scene?

She does bi-polar fairly well, but insanity not so much.

I'm pretty sure the director must have said to her. 'For this final scene I want a witch. Okay, a witch. And not just any old Shakespearean witch, a full blown insane witch that will render the audience in fits of laughter and totally kill the atmosphere at the very end. Can you do that?'

She could and she did.
