Shrek's contract demands could end his career at Man Utd - there is a huge gap between what the striker wants and debt-ridden Man utd can afford he has two years left on his contract which utd have agreed to renegotiate - At the age if 24 this will be his biggest contract and his advisors want a five year deal worth ........£140,000 a week - which is £50,000 more than he earns now.:mad: how the chuff can he even spend the money he has now never mind more - not many people even earn anywhere near the £50,000 never mind the rest.

Figures show that Uts owe £711.5m.

Man U have announced plans to hike season ticket prices to rake back some of the debt - they plan to increase a ticket in the family stand from £646 to £722 - 11% increase - and 7% in other stands which would increase match day revenue by over £2m. They are trying to raise £500m to stabalise debts.

Why shouldn't Rooney push for as much as he can get as long as that sort of money is available. Compared to a lot of players he is worth it and although it's a ridiculous amount of money, I'd push for the same. Nothing more satisfying than being able to look after generations of your family after all
