Sparkle Posted March 13, 2016 Share Posted March 13, 2016 When Bryson and hendrick are on the pitch together we are a completely different team in an attacking sense coupled with an interested Martin and options from ince and a fit Thorne to cover their attacking play. with a hopefully fit Hughes in the mix for next season it leads to a fairly obvious point that the likes of butterfield and Johnson are not a lot more than squad cover players to me. Posted March 13, 2016 Share Posted March 13, 2016 agree - ignoring the last 10 minutes yesterday which didn't really happen - 10 out of the 11 of that starting line up can see us through to the play-offs. Martin + Bryson + Hendrick works (it just needs Thorne behind them) We just need to be clear that a) Johnson is not a defensive midfielder (whenever George gets tired it has to be Hanson or even Jake) b) We have no-one in the squad to replace Chris Martin, so let's not try c) We play 4-3-3. That's the Derby way. We just can't cope with anything else. d) The only place up for grabs is the 'other' winger role - Johnson - Russell - Weimann - Blackman contribute so little that Camara or even Zanzala have to be considered.
