David
Notts County have confirmed the appointment of Hans Backe as their new manager on a three-year deal. The Swede announced earlier on Tuesday that he was '99 per cent' certain to succeed Ian McParland, who was sacked by the ambitious League Two club. County's director of football, Sven Goran Eriksson, was in charge of finding a new boss and he has turned to a man he worked with when involved with Manchester City and Mexico. A short statement on the club's official website said on Tuesday: "Notts County are this afternoon pleased to announce the appointment of Hans Backe as the club's new first-team manager. "Hans has signed a three-year contract and starts his duties with immediate effect." Backe's first game in charge will be Saturday's clash with Shrewsbury at Meadow Lane. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11750_5655416,00.html

David
Can I be honest here and say I had never heard of him and had to Wiki his name. Will be given a decent amount of time considering he's Svens mate.
