froggg
To replace the last one that has disappeared. A sad day for local wildlife enthusiasts..........CHOG have also long-since recorded birds in the Lower Avon Valley, including Town Common and St. Catherine’s Hill, so the news this afternoon that these sites were ablaze was a real shock for many of the regulars. The fire has destroyed at least 640,000 square metres of heathland, which was breeding habitat for Dartford Warbler, Nightjar, Tree Pipit, Stonechat, Linnet and Meadow Pipit, as well as Smooth Snake and Sand Lizard. Reports so far received suggests ignition in three separate locations.
