They get a fine for breaking the rules whilst in the Football league. The argument about not being in the division when the vote took place won't hold. There's been clubs being relegated to League 1 that weren't in that league when they voted for their FFP regs and Boone has tried to sue yet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's been clubs being relegated to League 1 that weren't in that league when they voted for their FFP regs and Boone has tried to sue yet So no real sanction at all then. 1) Gain an unfair advantage in the Football League. 2) Get promoted to the Premier League. 3) Pay a fine that is a small fraction of the riches gained by promotion. 4) Carry on as normal.
