vicky-27
Didn't you just know that rumour would start ! Paul Jewell is fast emerging as favourite to succeed Steve Bruce as Wigan Athletic manager. The News of the World says Jewell is in the frame to succeed Bruce if the former Manchester United ace quits the Latics to become Sunderland's new boss. Scouser Jewell has been out of work since resigning as Derby manager five months ago. He spent six years in charge at the JJB Stadium and guided Wigan from League One to 10th place in the Premier League. Steve Coppell, who quit Reading after six years as boss, is also a contender along with Swansea's Roberto Martinez. The Spaniard is hot property after taking the Swans to the brink of the play-offs. CumbrianRam
TBF, I think he is a "small club manager", did well at Wigan and Bardford, struggled at Sheff Weds and Derby, he will do well IMO.
Day
Perfect man for the job, Wigan fans love him and he did a decent job there, would he want to go back is another question.
Perky1106
I'm sure they'll welcome him back if they make sure video cameras are banned from all bedrooms in Wigan.
