He always had something special, but to be honest I thought he'd struggle to make such a massive jump up the pyramid (it was 6 levels up at the time!). I thought Aaron O'Connor had more of a chance to make it (he's now at Luton Town). I'm delighted for Brian, every week I fast forward to the end of the FLS to see how he got on at Dagenham and have been amazed. I doubt he could make another step up to the Champ but he's surprised me so far! Still see his Mum at Gresley too. I remember commenting to my Dad not long after he'd joined us "That lad's got some quality" and this lady lent towards me and said proudly "That's my son that is!".
