Keith Richards, 47, fired at officers with a crossbow in what is thought to have been “suicide by copâ€Â. vicky-27 Posted May 13, 2009 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Terrible story - he was obviously suffering from depression and needed help not shooting yes he was wrong doing what he did but like you say David surely they could of shot him in the leg - very helpful comment from the supt saying they are lethal weapons. Day Posted May 13, 2009 Author Share Posted May 13, 2009 I don't think the Police should be given the right to shoot and kill any member of the public, a shot in the leg or arm would disable most criminals enough to surrender Or the bean bag gun which simply winds you.
