Stimacked
If he asked to be released then he was obviously very unsettled already. he was playing fairly often for the reserves last season but for what ever reason he dropped down in the pecking order this term. shame he decided to scrap his scholarship. if he was going to be unhappy maybe it was best for eveyone he was released. good luck at hull. there are always going to be players who are missing out on regular playing time. think Ball being put back to lead the U18s attack and the emergence of Bennet and Dawkins meant he was struggling to get playing time. Lambrettaman
Sorry lads, "maybe" ? you were right to ask the question ? He did nothing silly and certainly did not get the boot, he was called in to the irish u19 squad @ 17 years old and yet he was not getting any game time, why you ask ?? i say ask the coach ?? and although he had 2 years to run on contract he asked to be released for the sake of his football future. Since then he received servel offers from clubs who were looking for him when he chose Derby, he went to Slovina with the irish team came back went to hull on trial they were impressed signed him up ( not for the youths ) and he has played 3 full reserve games and scored in one. Derby's loss seems to be Hulls gain. Just setting the records straight, no need to sully the lads character. Hi gents, Hull fan here, just came across this forum/thread by accident and thought I'd update you on Dillon. He hasn't actually signed for us, he's still on trial, but he has played three games for us and has looked pretty sharp by all accounts. It's unusual for big Nige to keep players on trial this long, which suggests he's seriously thinking about offering him a deal. It won't be for the first team though, he's already described him as 'potentially one for the future', so if he does get signed, he's probably got a season or two in the reserves to look forward to first. Just thought you might be interested.
