Saunders89 Posted June 28, 2011 Share Posted June 28, 2011 Sad news, a player from a great era of football who wore his heart on his sleeve and never shirked a tackle, as hard as nails and City through and through, a bit like our own Stevie Powell. RamNut Posted June 28, 2011 Share Posted June 28, 2011 remember one occasion he was playing against us.....and he came across and stuck it into row z - something which would now not cause me to bat an eyelid.......but at the time i rememember being totally disgusted......i thought 'mcfarland would never have done that....he'd have taken it down , controlled it, taken it to the touchline, maybe beaten the striker, and then passed it up the touchline to our striker'.
