trigger Posted April 23, 2009 Share Posted April 23, 2009 long may you enjoy the meaning of being english, as im sure in the not to distant future it will become a thing of the past. the union jack you can stick up the dry fella !(with the jocks and the taffs too) the saint georges flag holds all that is english, believe in all thats english, pray to those who fought to make the english nation proud, one day england will rise again to become the mighty nation it once was raise a glass and salute the country millions have died to protect. To be Scotish, irish or Welsh,thats fine, But dont say you're English ,thats way out of line. The French & the Germans may call themselves such, As may the Norwegians, the Swedes and the Dutch. You can say you are Russian, or maybe a Dane. But dont say youre English, ever again. At Broadcasting House that word is taboo, In Brussels they've spooped it, in Parliament too Even schools are affected, staff do as they're told, They mustn't teach children about the English of old. Writers like Shakespeare, Milton and Shaw- Do the pupils not learn about them anymore? How about Agincourt, Hastings, Arnhem or Mons, When England lost hosts of her very brave sons? We are not Europeans, how can we be ? Europe is miles away, over the sea. We're the English from England, let's all be proud, Stand up and be counted-shout it out loud! Lets tell our Government-and Brussels too- We're proud of our heritage and the Red, White & Blue.
