Ratings v Reading

Atkins - 7 - Impressed with him. Got close to both penalties (did he tip the second on to the post or was it just straight on) and looked confident, more so as the game went on. Looked better than Deeney.

Brayford - 6 - Decent from the lad, didn't have much to do

Anderson - 6 - Looked solid, on the receiving end of several bad calls from the referee

Ayala - 7 - Definitely need to look at getting him in on loan next season

Leacock - 4 - Dire. Gave away the second goal. "If in doubt, put it out" is the first rule of defence and Deano seems to have forgotten that. Rated him but I wouldn't be sad to see him go now

Sav - 6 - Some decent passes. Can be happy with his final performance.

Bailey - 6 - Like Sav. Needs to be played directly in the centre, not out on the right.

Pearson - 2 - Atrocious.

Bueno - 5 - Struggled, but once again seemed a step ahead of everyone else. Gets out of trouble, expects a player there to receive the pass but has to turn again when noone is there. Would get him back, will shine with better players around him

Ball - 7 - Really impressed. Won most of the headers in the air, first touch is good, just needs to get into positions quicker

Ward - 7 - Same sort of performance, always ran and chased the ball down. Can't wait to see him next season with a pre-season behind him.

Subs:

Ben Davies - 6 - Looked lively

Hendrick - 6 - Impressed again. Some neat touches.

Doyle - Don't think he touched the ball

Mostly agree, cant have Sav as a 6 due to him costing the first penno and still giving the ball away plenty enough. Dont think Ball was as good as a 7, needs to get involved in the game more, was a passenger for parts.

Cant understand how Pearson gets in ahead of Davies, he looked good when he came on.

Davies coming back of a groin injury, we not playing for anything so why risk a player knackering his groin and being out for 3-4 months as with some groin injuries and then he misses preseason and is behind everyone else. Same with Addison, Steve Davies, Cywka, and co

Fair points

Still stand by the fact that there's better players at the club not getting played even when they're fit behind Pearson.

Was that the main downside to his game? If it is, then I'm very hopeful for this lad, that sort of thing comes with experience.

From what I've seen of him, he's got a pretty good touch considering he's a lump. Strength is clearly something he's got in abundance, which is good to see from a scholar.
