David
STRIKER Chris Porter will miss Derby County’s return to Championship action against Burnley this weekend after failing to recover from injury. Rams boss Nigel Clough had hoped the January signing from Motherwell would have shaken off a hip problem in time to face Owen Coyle’s men at Pride Park tomorrow. However, Porter – who scored three goals in two games before getting injured – has been ruled out for a fourth successive match. There was some good news for Clough, though, with Kris Commons and Jay McEveley back in contention following lay-offs. Commons has missed six games for Derby, plus two World Cup qualifiers for Scotland, due to a calf injury, while McEveley (hamstring) has sat out three matches. Meanwhile, Nacer Barazite is a doubt for the Burnley game after returning from Holland Under-21 duty with a virus. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/515-porter-ruled-out-of-burnley-clash/ Share on other sites
