Perky1106
What is it with all the talk on signing new strikers? At the start of every season it's always debated. Whether it be Sharp or Hooper, Marlon Harewood or even Jason Roberts, it's always debated. But what use it going to be when we inevitably lose the only hub of creativity that is Kris Commons to injury? The striker will receive no adequate service, only long balls that fly over the midfield. So no matter how good he is, how much he cost or what his scoring record for another club he will always struggle on the Pride Park pitch. /Rant. Scorchedturf
The striker is the key player though, if you have a terrible striker you will struggle, creative midfield or not. that's why they are usually the highest paid players.
