derbydan
dihydrogen monoxide? That sounds like a nasty chemical, doesn't it? The city council of Aliso Viejo deliberated banning the chemical after discovering a website that claimed the product was a major component of acid rain, it destroyed metals and if consumed by humans could cause excessive sweating and urination. Councillors were horrified by these claims and wanted to act against this potentially dangerous chemical. Fortunately good sense prevailed, or at least intelligence prevailed, when someone pointed out that dihydrogen monoxide is the chemical name for water. just one of a series of 'urban myths' debunked in Boese's book http://news.uk.msn.com/uk/articles.aspx?cp-documentid=152403035 Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/2942-thick-bloody-americans/ Share on other sites
