Day
Derby County goalkeeper Ross Atkins has today joined Blue Square Premier side Kidderminster Harriers on a month's loan. The 20-year-old former England Youth international returned to Pride Park earlier this week after a similar loan spell at League Two Burton Albion, where he acted as cover on the bench and failed to make an appearance. He is however set to gain first-team match experience, as he did with Southport last season, during this loan spell. Kidderminster sit 9th in the Blue Square Premier table and are still in with a shout of making the playoffs and Atkins could make his debut in Saturday's FA Trophy tie with Oxford United. http://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10270~1968820,00.html
Day
Goalkeeper Ross Atkins has been recalled from his loan spell at Kidderminster Harriers. The 20-year-old has spent the last two months with the Blue Square Premier side, gaining valuable first-team experience. Atkins made 13 appearances for the Harriers and played in both FA Trophy Semi-Finals matches against Stevenage Borough. With first-choice goalkeeper Stephen Bywater ruled out of Derby's final two matches of the season with a rib injury Atkins will act as back-up to Saul Deeney. The Academy graduate is yet to make his Derby County debut but has been regular for the reserves this season. http://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10270~2029382,00.html
