oh dear oh dear back on topic tho -

Derby County welcome promotion-chasing West Bromwich Albion to Pride Park Stadium on Saturday striving to achieve back-to-back victories for the first time in the Coca-Cola Championship this season.

With 18 of Derby's 20 points in the Championship coming at Pride Park this season, it really has been a case of 'home sweet home' for the Rams who will be looking to make full use of their home advantage, and put a dent in Albion's promotion charge in the process.

Derby County Team News

Rams boss Nigel Clough is hopeful that Shaun Barker can shake off a thigh problem to retain his place in the side after a Man of the Match display against Reading last Saturday. Recent signing DJ Campbell may have to be content with a place on the bench with Rob Hulse and Paul Dickov likely to lead the line in attack once again. Kris Commons (Hamstring), Chris Porter (Hip), Giles Barnes (Achilles), Steven Davies (Hamstring), Mitch Hanson (Knee), Mark O'Brien (Recovering from Heart Operation) and Ruben Zadkovich (Groin). Paul Connolly is back in the squad after serving a one-match suspension against Reading.

West Bromwich Albion Team News

Baggies midfielder Robert Koren is out for up to a month as he requires surgery on his hernia problem and will not feature against the Rams at Pride Park. Left-back Joe Mattock could return after a foot injury, as should lively winger Jerome Thomas who has enjoyed a lively start . Ishmael Miller (Knee) and James Morrison (Hell) are long-term absentees who remain sidelined until well into the New Year.

West Bromwich Albion's Last Five

DWWWW - The Baggies are bang in form in the Coca-Cola Championship and are hot on the heels of league leaders Newcastle United with four victories in their last four games, scoring 15 goals in the process. Roberto Di Matteo's men are unbeaten on the road since their 3-1 reverse at Barnsley towards the end of September and whilst rattling in goals at one end they have tightened up at the back and have leaked just 4 goals in their last 8 games.

The Manager

Roberto Di Matteo replaced Celtic-bound Tony Mowbray in the manager's hot-seat at the Hawthorns in the summer, and he has wasted no time in mounting an immediate promotion push back to the Premier League in only his second season in management. Di Matteo guided MK Dons to the League One Playoffs last season, but suffered penalty shoot-out heartache against Ssausagehorpe United at the Semi Final stage. He quickly made a name for himself at stadium:mk and his style of management was viewed as best-suited to replace Mowbray at the Hawthorns. As a player, Switzerland-born Di Matteo began his career with FC Schaffhausen, FC Zürich and FC Aarau before moving to Italy where he shone with Lazio between 1993 and 1996. He joined Chelsea's foreign revolution in 1996 and quickly established himself as one of the stars of the Premier League. In 2001 he suffered a broken leg which eventually ended his career in February 2002, prompting him to switch his attentions to coaching and management.

Danger Man

In-form Simon Cox has scored three goals in his last two games for the Baggies after establishing himself in Roberto Di Matteo's starting line-up in recent weeks. Cox - a former Reading trainee - scored 32 goals in League One last season for Swindon Town and was promptly snapped up by the Baggies in the summer. His explosive pace and uncanny knack of being in the right place at the right time has seen Cox adapt very quickly to life in the Championship and along with his strike partner Luke Moore will provide a stern test for the Derby backline tomorrow.

The Man In The Middle

Mr D Deadman is tomorrow's Match Referee. Mr Deadman has taken charge of 16 games this season, producing a total of 49 yellow cards and 4 reds.

Ticket Information

Match tickets are still available for this Coca-Cola Championship fixture at Pride Park. Tickets are on general sale from the Pride Park Ticket Office with advance purchase prices ranging from £27 to £32 for Adults, £16 to £19 for Seniors and Young Adults and £11 to £16 for Juniors and Juveniles. Prices increase by paying at the turnstiles.

Last Time At Pride Park

Derby and West Brom have not locked horns in a League fixture at Pride Park Stadium since November 2006, and back then it was the Rams who came out on top with a 2-1 victory. That afternoon Derby came from a goal down in the first half from Richard Chaplow with goals from Matt Oakley and Giles Barnes to take the points. Both sides met later in the season in the Playoff Final in May, with Stephen Pearson's goal at Wembley enough to guide Derby to the Premier League.

Derby County boss Nigel Clough has no new injury worries.

On-loan defender Fredrik Stoor was injured against Reading but has trained this week and can play.

West Brom midfielder Robert Koren (hernia) is sidelined but left-back Joe Mattock has recovered from a foot injury and may return to the squad.

Winger Jerome Thomas has shaken off a hamstring problem and midfielder Filipe Teixeira is also available following a groin injury.
