Stimacked
Hadn't realised the emergency loan window was scrapped. So this surely gives some leeway for a few Under 23 players to get some real matchday experience. Some will probably get a chance now. If they don't get competitive game time they won't develop. Scrapping the emergency loan window. It's a monumental change to the transfer system and explains partly the insane fees being paid. Is our squad ready to cope. It's up to Pearson to find a way to accommodate the players he's got now. With Martin leaving, Blackman is likely going to be used as plan B. He might be used as part of a front two pairing also. He needs a goal. He has the height. He has to rediscover his confidence quickly. He's been used on the flanks to little effect, so it's as the only tall battering Ram ? target man talisman we have remaining, that he has the chance to grab. That Carlisle match had lots of clues as to some of Pearsons plans for the coming season. Also how Johnston was used in multiple positions during the match. Anya will likely be used in a similar way along the flanks. Sometimes dropping back to about attacking full back role.
