Day
There is light at the end of the tunnel for Derby County, with news that Nigel Clough's injury list is being reduced to a more manageable size. Paul Green, Jay McEveley, Dean Leacock and Rob Hulse are all expected to be included in the squad for the match against Coventry City at Pride Park. Green has been missing since the home defeat to Sheffield United in September with a foot injury, but has trained all week and should make his comeback. McEveley, having undergone an operation on his broken cheekbone, will play with a special mask that has been made to project his face. Leacock and Hulse have both recovered from their illnesses that kept them out of last Saturday's game against Ipswich Town. Miles Addison is also making excellent progress on his foot injury, although no precise time for a return has been penned in yet. Steven Davies, Kris Commons and Lee Hendrie remain sidelined with their hamstring injuries. Jake Buxton's sore groin remains problematic, although he has agreed to sit on the bench for a number of games to give Nigel Clough options if absolutely necessary. Chris Porter is making good progress with his hip problem and is still on course for a return by Christmas. Giles Barnes is working hard on his rehabilitation from his Achilles injury, likewise Ben Pringle who is out with a knee problem. http://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/MedicalCard/0,,10270~1845933,00.html

CumbrianRam
Just hope we dont rush ANYONE back untill there fit, should have learnt from it already! I agree, most of these injuries are due to rushing players back. Do we have a medical team?

vicky-27
Let's hope Bywater doesn't get injured then  Derby County goalkeeper Saul Deeney is likely to be missing until 2010 because of an ankle injury. The 26-year-old hurt his ankle when he slipped while outside the team's hotel for a fire alarm the day before Friday's defeat against Swansea. Rams boss Nigel Clough told the club's website: "He's going to be out for four to six weeks. "He was in pain straight away and has either twisted it or sprained it. He will have an X-ray in Derby this week."

vicky-27
Buxton in line for boxing day call up with Barker (thigh) Addison (foot) and Leacock (knee) - Leacock is only training on a Friday at the moment because of the various knocks he has, Addison will be stepping up his training this week -Barker - no date set for return - Steve Davies still weeks away after suffering another injury after the last reserve game (hamstring) and made it worse by coming on at Watford - since then he has picked up a strain on another part of his hamstring - Stoor could return to training today after a painkilling injection. Common's did say last night in the interview that they have made changes to the training regime - fingers crossed then
