Speak to any of the thousands of people that have worked for Toyota at Burnaston in the last 25 years and they will all tell you that they have to be at work at least 15 minutes before shift starts...where they do exercises and have a little brief, then they will regularly work into their 10 minute break where they have to be back working again after the 10 minutes is up. At the end of shift they are also required to do a nice tidy up and set everything for the next shift.

Do people complain about it? Yes.

Is anything ever done about it? No

becasue basically if you don't like it, you know what to do...

at 17, she should tell them to sod off, no job is worth getting upset about at that age..

Toyota tell their staff that they have to do the exercises and be there for the brief, but when I worked there people would walk in 5 minutes before their shift was due to start and nothing could be done about it. When group leaders complained to the people who did this everyday, they just said they would turn up early and do the exercises when they got paid to do so.
