Day
Leeds United have signed England Under-21 international goalkeeper Frank Fielding on a one-month emergency loan. The 21-year-old has joined from Premier League side Blackburn Rovers. Fielding will be on the bench for Tuesday's visit of Carlisle, when Casper Ankergren will replace the injured Shane Higgs. Manager Simon Grayson told the club website: "He (Ankergren) came on for Shane on Saturday and I've got no qualms about him whatsoever." With Higgs out with a thigh injury picked up in Saturday's win at MK Dons, Ankergren gets his first start of the season. Fielding has already had loan spells at Wycombe, Northampton Town and Rochdale, who he reached the League Two play-offs with last season. He was given his England Under-21 debut in the same game as former Leeds midfielder Fabian Delph, against the Czech Republic last November.
