Day
Manchester City have made a move for Sheffield Wednesday's Lee Grant after agreeing to let Joe Hart join Birmingham. Mark Hughes wants experienced cover for Shay Given and Grant's £1.5m arrival will enable Hart to complete his loan deal to Birmingham City. vicky-27
Surely not  he would be a fool to go - just for the chance of an odd game, i would of thought he was worth more than that as well
Day
Triple wages to sit on your arse for a season I wouldn't say no. Just doesn't make sense why Man City would do this, why send Joe Hart out on loan to spend money on another keeper to put on the bench? why not play Hart in all the reserve, League Cup and FA Cup games and if Given is injured he's there to step in. Also what happened to Kasper Schmeichel, is he still at Man City?
vicky-27
yes Kasper is still there - but has said he wants to leave and i don't blame him - he's a great young keeper. Would you really be happy though sitting the season on the bench - i wouldn't be.
Day
Let me think for a second, would I be happy with sitting in a plastic seat watching football for free each week whilst being paid a stupid amount of money.....................where do I sign? vicky-27
Not if you really loved the game and wanted to play - you would be as frustratred as hell.
Day
Footballers are not machines that are programmed to just play football they are also humans, how many people could honestly hold their hands up and say they would turn down a wage rise to do a more boring job that leaves them sat on their arse? How old is Grant now? 24/25 ish? he's got 10 years left as a footballer at most, he will grab the money while he can and I don't blame him for one second.
