The nominations have been counted and verified and today we can reveal the fans' choices as the top ten Derby County goals of all time.

It's a list that covers classic strikes against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid alongside some modern-day favourites.

Now it's time for you to choose from the ten and pick out the greatest goal in Derby County's history as part of our 125th anniversary celebrations.

The club has teamed up with BBC Radio Derby for the vote, giving you until midnight on Sunday June 14 to send in your choice.

The full list is:

  1. Dave Mackay in the 1968 League Cup victory over Chelsea.
  2. John McGovern's 1972 strike against Liverpool that ultimately won Derby the league for the first time.
  3. Charlie George's stunning left-footed volley as part of his European Cup hat-trick against Real Madrid.
  4. Trevor Christie's promotion-clinching penalty on a dramatic night against Rotherham United in 1986.
  5. Robbie van der Laan's header a decade on to beat Crystal Palace and earn a place in the Premier League.
  6. Paolo Wanchope's remarkable solo goal at Old Trafford 1997 that announced his arrival as a Derby favourite.
  7. Stephen Pearson's Wembley winner against West Bromwich Albion in the 2007 play-off final.
  8. Kris Commons's powerful strike against Manchester United in the first leg of the 2009 Carling Cup semi-final.
  9. Kris Commons again, this time a 20-yarder to cap a remarkable FA Cup comeback at Nottingham Forest in February 2009.
  10. Robbie Savage's delightful curling free-kick at Doncaster Rovers in February 2009.

BBC Radio Derby's website has audio commentary of each goal for you to listen to and relive your memories of these stunning strikes.

Bit of a joke this just goes to show how short people memories are. How can a penalty be better than Wanchope's goal. And then there are three from this season. Now I ask you how can Savages free kick which the keeper was at fault be better than John Gregorys bicycle kick against Chelsea for example

Savage's goal against Donny the 10th best of ALL TIME?? Yes it was brilliant, but nothing in proportion to this club's whole history of goals.

Still worth that cold trip to South Yorkshire though.

Was it better than Davie Jones free kick against Sheff Wed in the promotion season????

Think is even for nominations its just people thinking of what they can remember recently. Another one was Idiakez at Burnley or Sayne Nickelson against Sheff Wed for starters. I think my point is for a poll its very poorly represented clearly if people are coming up with those in the top ten even as nominations.
