This mythical team of loans, frees and academy players cost 26 million pounds over two seasons by the way. Not including any loan fees.
Over two seasons? We only got promoted the once to my knowledge...
I'm interested though where this £26m comes from. Probably the same source who has folk on here thinking Lingard is on 200k a week and we've spent 250m.

Bournemouth sold a load of players for big money when they were first relegated, and brought through quite a few kids. Their signings thereafter were relatively modest.
Of course Forest had to strengthen their squad, but how many of those signings have played more than 15 games as a starter? Their struggle isn't an indicator that it's the Toughest PL For Years (another Forest TM I note), it's an indicator that they've signed few players that have performed consistently. If they stay up, see how many are retained and how many get a Greek holiday.
It's funny how your hate for us blinds you so much 🤣

Bournemouth didn't need to spend anything like£200m - despite almost completely overhauling their squad last season.
It's more an indication of how much rubbish you've bought.
That's because they've already spent it, just over a longer period of time. Bournemouth have spent 6 out of the last 8 seasons in the Premier League as well.
I'm not quite sure that you comprehend the challenge of getting promoted having built a squad of mostly loans, frees and academy players in the Championship and then having to build a new squad to survive in the world's toughest league. But then again why would you be able to comprehend it? It's a million miles away from what you're used to.

Fair point. I mean you’ve had to spend £200m quid just to reach the dizzying heights of 17th.
Just shows you the gap between the Premier League and the EFL.

When a Bournemouth team, who were every pundits favourites to finish bottom, are more than holding their own in the relegation battle, and Fulham, Brentford and Brighton are pushing for a European place, and Villa are pushing for a CL place, and Chelsea are floundering in mid-table. I'm not convinced that this is "the strongest PL in years".
It's one of the most interesting in years, I'll give it that.
Shows you how much you watch it. Clearly just judged them by their history there 🤣
Let me guess you think they should be back in the 4th tier where they belong?

I would define "hardest" as being most competitive, so highlighting 3rd place scoring more points 15years ago would highlight more strength NOW than it would weakness now.
Exactly. Arsenal in 3rd being on 83 pts all that time ago means nowt. All that tells us is that the top teams were stronger and the bottom teams weaker (cough 11 pts). It tells us nothing about the overall strength of the league.
I mean this season there's a relegation team in the latter stages of Europe ffs.
-
Also, it's been a long time since you were there so it's probably changed quite a bit but the difference in level is huge. Even the bottom teams are decent and have good players costing tens of millions. You don't realise how much higher the standard is until you watch it up close. The speed of play and movement of the players is unbelievable at times and any mistakes gey punished.
You probably noticed a similar drop off in quality when you went down to the 3rd division.

not sure where this theory that this is a terrible premier league, maybe because Forest are in it and that’s what we want to believe but I watch a lot of pl football and it’s probably the strongest league ever. look at the players teams near the bottom have, anybody can beat anybody and that’s just not the case in previous seasons
Spot on. Toughest it's been in years with nobody properly falling away.

First win in a third of a season and not doomed. That league is very poor. Southampton and Everton don't have enough for me so a 3 team league it is, thanks to Brighton s******* the bed as I expected after Sunday.
Not as poor as last season when Norwich and Watford were basically down by this point.
They were terrible, I mean not '11 points terrible' like you lot but still pretty bad.

Sure they do. Bribe a ref here, burn down a small business there; pretty soon you have hundreds of millions to piss away on any old crap you fancy.
Oh yes I forgot, don't bother to pay your taxes, leave creditors to take the financial hit, don't bother to pay installments on transfer fees then just carry on as if nothing has happened. I suppose DCFC prove cheats do prosper.
Then you all crow on here about being the victim of the EFLs campaign against you when you're lucky you're not Bury mk 2 🤣couldnt make it up.

Where’s this piss the league thing come from?
Some of your lot on twitter back in the summer when you started signing the Ballon Dor candidates McGoldrick and Horihane. Someone on our forum picked up on it and it's been a highly amusing running joke ever since.

You’re just as predictable as a Forest away defeat
Or a Derby collapse from mid-Feb onwards.
Still it's not all bad, you've got a nice trip to Leyton Orient to look forward to next season. 😆

There's a reasonable chance of two out of Forest, Leeds and Leicester going down this season, and I'd have settled for that at the start of the season.
Karma is coming soon enough for all three.
Speaking of karma, do you think this bad run of form you're on is a result of not paying your taxes?

It appears Forest actually didn’t get the result their performance deserved today. I think that is the first time this season they can honestly say they should have won but didn’t.
Most of the time it’s opposition saying that after Forest have scrapped a lucky point or 1-0 win against them.
They’ve only deserved to beat Leicester this season. Southampton away was 50-50. Every other win they have been dominated but fluked a 1-0.
How did you get on today? I cant be arsed to scroll down all the leagues.

Perhaps he could enlighten us as to what the real figure is?
Unfortunately I dont have access to the NFFC accounts.
Whatever the number is it no doubt pales in comparison to how much most if not all other Premier League squads cost to assemble. Only difference is theirs have been assembled over years whereas ours is in just two windows.
I wouldn't expect you lot to understand Premier League finances to be fair whilst you scratch around for those geriatric free transfers.

No it's getting mocked for being in a relegation battle in the Premier League after you've wasted £250 million on 2 teams worth of players but are still reliant on playing the donkeys that you had in the Championship last season.
Subtle difference
It's 250m now is it? 😆

Like us being mocked when we were only getting 11 points and you were in League 1, make your mind up
Speaking of which, yesterday was officially 'Earliest relegation ever' day. I hope you all celebrated it in style, I know I did 🍻

Getting mocked for being in a relegation battle in the Premier League by fans who have just seen their team lose at home to Fleetwood Town in the 3rd tier is a good one.
It's like a 40 year old virgin taking the piss out of Brad Pitt for splitting up with Angelina Jolie.
Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.

Speaking of counting and adding up, have you lot worked out how you're going to pay all these new Quantuma bills yet? Or are you just going to not botherand get the taxpayer to cover the bill like usual?
