Cook seems a strange choice with the lack of ODIs he's actually played. think he's just seen as the natural replacement for Strauss, they are pretty similar. I think they've made the right choices, we'll see how it goes. Would be nice if he could translate his Ashes form into ODIs. Interesting that Strauss has retired from one day cricket to concentrate on Test matches, he was the only England player not to underperform at the World Cup IMO.
