I signed Roy for my club [Olympiads] when he was working behind the bar at the White Horse and he showed such promise he also signed on for the club I was chairman of Roe Farm who were one of the top local sides back in the 1950's, the scouts came looking and off he went to Bonny Scotland.    He played for Morton [twice], Celtic, Hibernian and St Johnstone and after his playing days were over he coached at several top Scottish clubs.

He now runs a very successful property development/letting business near Edinburgh and is a season ticket holder at Hibernian, I am very proud that I played a small part in getting a very talented young man on the way to a career in football, he is absolute proof that if you have talent and are prepared to work hard there is always a chance that you can follow your dream.
