THREE former Derby County bosses who were jailed for financial crimes at the club have appealed against their convictions and sentences.

Lawyers representing Jeremy Keith, Andrew Mackenzie, and Murdo Mackay, have sent papers to the Court of Appeal after they were jailed in July.

A judge will now decide if their appeals should be heard or dismissed, which could take up to two months.

It could be nine months before the trio find out if their appeals are successful.

Rams' former director of football Mackay, 53, of Alicante, and ex-club finance director Mackenzie, 55, of Littleover, were sentenced to three years in prison for conspiring to defraud the club.

Former chief executive Keith, 44, of Abingdon, Oxfordshire, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for false accounting.

A fourth man, solicitor David Lowe, was found guilty of money laundering and sentenced to two years as part of the same trial.

Lowe has also appealed against his conviction and sentence.

The convicts lived an affluent lifestyle before their jailing.

Mackay and Mackenzie were found guilty of conspiring to defraud Derby County of £375,000 plus VAT, or a proportion of that money.

Keith was convicted of false accounting in the removal of some or all of that money.

LET THEM APEAL THEN GIVE THEM LONGER SENTANCE IMO

Disgrace to my local area.

You're right Dan. Let him appeal and rot for longer!
