eustonstation
Unlike the rest of you lucky so-and-sos who live in England, there are a lot of us (I think) overseas whose weekly football fix is primarily television-based. Fortunately for us in the US, the Rams were on a fair bit this past year -- maybe five or six matches, including the 5-0 against Wolves, the 5-1 against Fulham and the Chelsea cup match. So a question: who are your favorite stadiums/teams to watch on TV, and why? When I watch any non-Derby match, it's all about the crowd atmosphere. My favorites: 1. West Ham -- cheesy as it may be, I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles is a great crowd song2. Stoke -- passionate and loud supporters3. Fulham -- beautiful old stadium, and the Swiss cottage structure in the corner is somewhat reminscent of the rickety old press box at the Baseball Ground; gets loud, good camera angles4. Liverpool -- for You'll Never Walk Alone.5. Crystal Palace -- loud supporters and the occasional glimpse of a cheerleaderOn the opposite end, I cannot stand watching Man City at the Etihad, empty seats, hardly any noise until City score, then it quietens back down immediately. Same with Middlesboro at the Riverside.
