Alfreton to Host Rams` Reserves

Blu square North club Alfreton Town are delighted to announce that Coca-Cola Championship neighbours Derby County have chosen the Impact Arena to stage their reserve team home fixtures throughout the 2009/10 season. The Rams visited the Reds three times last season when they played two totesport-casino.com Reserve League Cup group games and a semi final and the partnership between the two clubs has now been extended significantly.

The Impact Arena will be hosting a total of eight totesport.com league games with Derby facing home fixtures with Port Vale, Macclesfield Town, West Bromwich Albion, Walsall, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Shrewsbury Town and Burton Albion.

A Derby County source said: “Alfreton Town are a fantastic club with some great facilities and a good playing surface.

“We already have a good relationship with Alfreton through playing our reserve league cup fixtures there last season and as the stadium meets the requirements of the Football League criteria, we have requested to play all eight of our home Totesport./com League fixtures there next season.

“We’re sure our supporters will turn out in their numbers for these games, as they did for the three cup fixtures last season. It will be a good opportunity to view the talent of the upcoming players in our under-21/development squad, as well as watching the more senior players who are on the outskirts of the first-team.

“We look forward to continuing our good relationship with Alfreton Town throughout the forthcoming season.”

Admission for all Rams` reserve games at the Impact Arena will be £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
