TheRams
Only big cities can run two successful League football clubs. Nottingham is probably the minimum size to be viable and these are not good days for Notts County. http://feeds2.feedburner.com/%7Er/therams/%7E4/-w8C8sgWV_Y [url=http://feeds.therams.co.uk/%7Er/therams/%7E3/-w8C8sgWV_Y/burton-look-to-build-on-history]Read More... KungFooRam
I guess it is a little bit different when the sides are in the same city but not seperated by 100 years
Perky1106
It's always better for a city to have one successful club than two minor ones. The likes of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool have done this simply because they are huge cities, and each have about one or two other decent sized teams. Birmingham - Aston Villa, Birmingham City, WBA, Wolves. Manchester - Man. Utd, Man. City, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport. Liverpool - Liverpool, Everton, Tranmere (Liverpoolish). You see a city like Nottingham is really scraping the barrel.
