You're preaching to the wrong club when it comes to academy players. We only have 10 players in the entire squad who didn't come through the academy system. 1 of which is now suspended for 3 games and another will be lucky if he's fit enough to play before March.

No, but I was pointing out that we are taking actions to slow down the increase of our wages, and now decrease them before we ran 10 miles past the regulations.

the fact you got academy players in your squad after you had embargos forced upon you and were forced down that route isnt much of a counter point

And you did make some valid points until you tried to make that little back handed dig at the end there. We didnt make up accountancy rules either (and before you say thats not what you said its clearly implied). The sale of our stadium was not against the rules and neither was our amortisation methid but it didnt stop the EFL coming after us regardless ?

Comfortably within them? Probably not, but within them, most likely.

We took 1/3 of the wages off in the summer just gone, O'Leary has been playing all January to prepare for Bentley getting sold and 2 players took a 50% cut before re-signing

While our accounts arent good by any margin, in what way are we taking the piss? Baring in mind those losses in the last 10 years included the stadium redevelopment and a new training ground built- both things that show as our losses in the accounts, but dont count towards FFP at all.

Bottom half in terms of wage/turnover ratio and actually cut down our wages in the summer just gone because we are getting close to our limits in FFP, 10 players sold or released and just 4 incomings to replace them, 2 of those free transfers, one signed from League 2 and one from League 1 for just over 1m.

Weimann and Baker both released then re-signed on lower wages.

So having not breached FFP, we've taken pre-emptive action to prevent ourselves from actually doing so.

Even our line up today had 2 academy players and 3 more who technically count as trained by us (Massengo who we got from Monaco 2 years ago, Semenyo who we signed from a local college and Scott who we signed from Guernsey FC when he was about 15) and another 3 who have been with us for 4+ years. The other 3 that started were a free transfer this year, a free transfer last year and Atkinson who was one of 2 fees we paid this summer.

3 more academy players/graduates on the bench. 

It's hardly a team thats been throwing money around to flout FFP, or make up its own accounting rules to try and skirt around FFP.
