derbydan
Derby County's Ryan Connolly was the matchwinner for the Republic of Ireland's U19 side in their 1-0 victory over Ukraine U19 yesterday. The midfielder crashed home the only goal of the game early in the second half at Frank Cooke Park. Both Connolly and fellow Derby team mate Jeff Hendrick played the full 90 minutes of the game. Connolly and Hendrick were second half substitutes in the first game of the friendly double-header between the two sides on Monday, which ended 0-0. The pair turned professional in the summer after impressive spells in the Academy. Connolly made his first team debut as a substitute in the final game of last season, while Hendrick is still waiting to make his first team bow. Perky1106
Well done to him. Hopefully we won't need him in the team but he seems like a good prospect.
